Personal Background
I grew up in South FLA. Wanting a change of scenery, I went to Appalachian State in North Carolina, where I played Division I Tennis Southern Conference. I still play at a competitive level, and also enjoy golf as much as possible, which is not often. An avid Runner, I am pretty much into all things exercise. Lately that includes Hot Yoga, Biking, Swimming, Hiking, and mostly anything outdoors. My goals for this year are to finish my first Tri-Athalon, my 10th Half Marathon, and finish my first Full Marathon. I also plan to jump out of a plane in the Fall. I also love reading, learning about our history and universe, and really enjoy almost all live music. I have been actively involved with Dog Rescue, Fostering and Transport since 2005. This is very important to me. We have a real problem in Georgia with over breeding, owners failing to spray or neuter, which leads to a very high euthanasia rate. (over 50,000 dogs and cats every year) Without the help of Rescue Groups, this number would be much higher. If you ever want to learn more or get involved, I recommend going to atlantahumane.org or if you're a lab lover like me, visit rescue group, Atlanta Dog Squad. Their site is atlantadogsquad.org and they do dog adoptions every other Saturday. Married in 2011, my wife Ana and I love to travel and experience as much of the world as time allows. We have a dog and cat, Nilla and Tinkerbell (Tinx). We love live music, eating out, running or biking the Beltline, and stumbling across new events and places. Our city is growing at a fast rate, and so much of the progress and development is happening right in our own neighborhood (Inman Park). We are excited about the growth of the Beltline, the Farm to Table concepts, Krog Street Market, and the green economy Atlanta seems to be embracing.
